2gether we will...that is the call to everyone who is affected by Multiple Sclerosis, either directly or indirectly.  Multiple Sclerosis affects more than 400,000 individuals in the United States.  Though MS does not discriminate in whom it will become an issue, we know that the African- American population with this disase has yet to be impacted in a way that educates and empowers us.

Did You Know?

1.   There are approximately 400,000 in the United States with Multiple sclerosis.

2.  Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40.  2/3 of those diagnosed are women.

3.  MS is a chronic, neurological disease that affects the central nervous system.

4.  MS is not inherited or contagious.

5.  Most people with MS do not end up severly disabled.

6.  The majority of those with MS lead long, productive lives.

7.  MS can be managed!
